No Sew Fleece Blanket

The Fourth Tutorial of Christmas I know this isn't a new idea, but i still think it is a great one, and it proves that you don't have to have a sewing machine or fancy tools to create a beautiful gift for someone. This is even a great idea for a kid who wants to give a meaningful gift.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

Fleece in two coordinating colors

(mine is for my husband who is 6', so I bought 2 1/2 yards of each color)

Scissors

Step 1: trim off the selvage edges on the fleece.

Step 2: lay fleece out flat, one on top of the other, wrong sides facing in, and trim edges so that they are even.

Step 3: Cut a 4 inch square out of each corner.

Step 4: Make 4 inch cuts into the fabric, one inch apart, all the way around the blanket as shown below.

Step 5: Holding both layers of fleece together, tie a knot as if you were tying a balloon, and pull it snug.

Continue tying all the way around the blanket.
